Researcher have found the 1st physiological evidence that subliminal images to register subconsciously.  Brain scans showed that even though volunteers were not aware of a series of quickly flashed images their visual-processing centers activated in response to the pictures.  (Scientific American Mind, June/July 2007, pg. 11)
